We had a wonderful time at the St George’s Family Fun Day in Grundy Park, organised by Broxbourne Council.
The weather was nice and dry with a little cloud and plenty of cooling breeze which is greatly appreciated when wearing a full harness.
There was a fearsome dragon that needed to be slain. A few of the knights had a go but were defeated by it. Fortunately, we had our very own St George to tackle the beast and after a titanic battle, he felled it.
We put on three combat displays in the arena during the afternoon to entertain the crowds that came along.
There was also our living history encampment where we could chat to visitors about our armour and equipment, as well as 15th Century life.
Hopefully, we will be back next year as it was a huge amount of fun and we enjoyed meeting everyone there.
